Burj Khalifa ( Creative architecture )

Creative architecture is a creative, innovative and unique approach in architectural designs that result in the construction of artificial structures that distinctively stand out from the usual. These structures include bridges, buildings, and roads among others, and even though they come out as normal structures, architects can twist their designs to separate them from other similar structures. The twist may be in the form of appearance, composition, method of construction or even the technology that will be used in their construction. Most structures that come to exist as a result of creative architecture more often than not have to incorporate new technology. This main reason for this is that there new ideas may not be done before architects come up with ways in which their designs will be practically implemented. This only means that new technology will have to be invented to support the emergence of new ideas. Sometimes this technology is only used in the construction of one design since it may not really be applicable in other designs due to its sophistication. This essay will discuss the creative form of architecture that was used to create the Burj Khalifa building in the United Arab Emirates in order to appreciate the importance of creativity when practicing architecture.
There are many reasons that call for the need of creative architecture. One is the location that the structure has to be put up or constructed. There may be barriers or certain limitations that hinder the normal construction  of a building ,for example, physical barriers like mountains and water bodies, vulnerability to earthquakes, unstable weather conditions etc. Architects have come up with creative designs that will make it possible to construct these structures in such difficult circumstances.

Creative architecture also poses a challenge to the people who actually execute the design. From structural engineers to the quantity surveyors, they all face the challenge of implanting the uniqueness of the architectural designs. Quite often creative architecture presents these professionals with a new idea that they have never worked on before and thus the creativity is also transferred from the architect all the way to the foremen. Thus creativity comes off as an overall necessity.

Beneficial Critical
Resources in society present an opportunity for society to grow. However, unused spaces in society result to existence of gaps in growth. Members of society experience the gaps by lacking essential aspects desirable in society. A lake beach with no activity presents an opportunity for the society to develop greatly. This can be in social-economic terms. Distinct processes are necessary in converting the lake beach into a useful resource in society. This is possible by setting up technological and other developmental initiatives in the lake beach.
The lake around San Damas has no activity that takes place in it. This clearly indicates that there is an opportunity to make this place useful in the appropriate way. As such, this presents a space usable but not being put into any use. The social economic political and otherwise gaps created in this case indicate inefficiency in society. The society does not fully use the resources it has in fostering social economic and otherwise development (Kunstler, 1). Members of the society have a responsibility to implement initiatives that enable proper use of all the available resources in society in order to ensure success in different aspects. Leaving the lake unused implies underutilization of resources in society and community.
For this reason, the societal components should take the initiative appropriate to use all the resources available in the right manner. This will result to use of the resources for the benefit of the societal fraternity. Any resource in society is useful in distinct ways (Kunstler, 1). Considering the lake, it can be used to breed fish for instance which members of society can use for food. Still, the area around the lake can be converted to an agricultural land where members of society can grow crops and generate income out of this. The lake beach is ugly and no activity takes place here.
This beach is convertible into a recreation center where the authorities around can generate income by taxing those who visit the area. The fact that no activity takes place inside implies that the society fails in its obligation of making full use of the resources that it has (Speck, 2). This presents a space that the society could occupy in distinct ways to create value out of it. However, various factors contribute to the failure of the society to undertake this. For instance, ignorance, among other aspects can result to this failure.
The authorities in the society have an obligation to make this beach around the lake creative and attractive. Infrastructure is necessary around this place. Roads and other means of accessing the place should be provided in order to make it easy for members of the society to visit the place and begin activity around the beach. Recreational centers are necessary around this place in order to attract large numbers of tourists coming to spend their leisure in this place (Kunstler, 1). Essentially, technological aspects are necessary around this place. For instance, new operations can be developed around this place, which require control through electronic gadgets like for instance computers. Availability of these technological items around this place will make it attractive to different people, as they will be able to use the items in order to suit their needs as though they were in any other desirable place.
Essentially, the space available as presented by the lack of activity inside the lake beach is appropriate for the society in many ways. In this current society, this space presents an economic as well as a social opportunity. Economically, the space is convertible into a tourist zone where people can visit and pay tax to the authorities (Speck, 2). Still, investors have an opportunity to set up t business, which are likely to flourish due to availability of clients who visit as tourists. Tourists prefer beaches as places of leisure and recreation. This also enhances creation of social unity, which is necessary in society.
