Fighting to success
Almost everything in our world has such important feature as development. We can say it about person’s skills and abilities in doing something too. According to this, I strongly believe that my personal, writing, and language skills have improved dramatically during our course.
First of all, completing of such tasks as those summaries we wrote prepared me for more serious works. Here I trained my spelling, punctuation, learned how to find the main idea in text and write this down within a few sentences. Next significant thing I did was writing an argumentative essay. It goes without saying that the fact I get acquainted with the essays structure and formatting styles is very useful for me. But what more important was that I learned how to build solid arguments, protect my point of view. If you are not able to hold your ground and give up when there is a slightest pressure on your opinion, you will never reach the results neither in studying, nor in life. After the essay about Burj Khalifa I found out what adjectives, word-combinations were more appropriate for sights describing. During the writing of the 3rd essay suddenly it came to me that analysing such large pieces of work as book and film was difficult for me. I realised that for one to write such essay took certain attention and quick-thinking, without speaking of patience.
Though I gain a lot of experience from this course, I have a plenty of things to work on, including what I’ve described in previous sentence, punctuation, and, what’s more important, concentration. Sometimes I can abandon my work because of having no thoughts about the subject. Instead of this I should have sit a bit longer and think more thoroughly.

Confrontation Failure
Decisions pertaining to government leadership have always been considered a choice of the citizens. Apart from few nations and past regimes where people had no power to decide who would lead them as the system predetermined it, modern systems allow citizens to exercise their democratic right by voting in their leaders. Appointment of such leaders is usually based on majority preference based on promises made to improve the nation. After such considerations, people always hope for the best in terms of leadership. It is however frustrating when the very leadership that has been appointed turns against the people and instead of delivering their promises, they use their powers to manipulate them.  This is a story similar to a scenario in V for Vendetta that highlights the efforts of an individual considered a terrorist to deliver a nation from an oppressive regime. V disguises himself just to ensure he fulfils his purpose of avenging on the government and even leaving behind a successor to carry on with the work of deliverance.
V has been presented as a terrorist in both the novel and the film, and ultimately saves those who have been oppressed by the government. This is contrary to the attitude held towards terrorist groups that are considered enemies of the people and the government. The movie and the book talk about events that are likely to happen in the near future rather than the present happenings. The setting of the story is Britain and the year is 2020. The main character is a gang that is protesting against the government, which has turned to be a dictator (Moore 83). We are told of imprisonment and killing of people simply because of their personal believes. It is rather ironic that even though the crimes they are convicted for do not affect the economic or political growth of the nation, they are forced to serve sentences.
The use of a terrorist gang to save a nation from oppressive rule is a symbol of worst things that can happen to the government. Citizens are to trust the government more than the terrorists are but if it occurs that terrorists are considered better than the government, it implies that the country has reached at a desperate state. Many evils that happen in the government are frequently concealed. Most of the people elected into power realise that the responsibilities are more than they can handle. The needs of the people are always at stake if proper measures of governance are not employed (Middleton 43). When the government reaches a point where it cannot effectively meet the needs of the people, it employs a manipulative form of leadership to control the people. This is mostly to prevent them from complaining or even raising their finger against the leaders.
The story is also a prediction of how powerful terrorism may become in the near future to the world. There have been terrorist threats of nuclear weapons that have the power to destroy an entire nation. As the wars between the Middle East and the west persist, no one can underestimate the amount of damage that is likely to be caused. This is not meant to scare the nations but simply to make them cautious. Technology is something that has been growing at a higher rate with criminals using it for criminal activities (Del 54). For a long time, United States and Britain have boasted of having the best intelligence to curb criminals and criminal activities. However, recent terrorist attacks have proved that unless the nations boost their security measures, a mere nuclear bomb could pull them down and render them useless economically.
There have been calls for the West to mend its relationship with the East to ensure peace for the people of the nations. However, most western countries are not willing to come down and instead use every form of force just to ensure they remain powerfull. There are however, some desperate measures that are being taken to curb the issues, which are hurting the very citizens they are meant to protect (Moreira 107). For instance, we are told of a seventeen-year-old girl in the novel and the book, Evey who is sexually used by the government’s secret police just because of her desperate state. To make matters worse, they plan to rape and kill her just before V comes to her rescue. The government keeps a number of secret service men to investigate the conduct of the people. There is a possibility that Evey had many secrets about the operation of the group, which prompted her intended destruction.
Information is usually crucial when it comes to the protection or destruction of a nation. Evey is a symbol of crucial information  between the government and the people. Top government leaders have been recorded to assassinate individuals who got crucial information about its operation that is likely to derail the trust that citizens have towards them. They consider such information crucial and if the vessel concerned can no longer keep the information, then it is slated for destruction (Ott 25). This was the case of Evey, which had become an important tool of information that had to be destroyed. V must have known this very well and knew that by rescuing and helping Evey, he would ultimately be having crucial details that will enable him avenge for the sake of the people.
It reaches a point in a nation where the public needs a messiah that will deliver them from the oppressive rule of the government. This person will give them a voice and expose the evils that are rotten within the systems. V, even though branded a terrorists became the messiah who was ready to die just to ensure freedom for the people (Itzkoff 65). He amazingly delivers Evey from hungry police officers and prepares her for the task of succeeding him. He leads a protest where people are requested to resist the government. The scene reveals a serious issue for V to stand up and order people to resist a government that they elected. It requires a lot of courage, which is accompanied by the risks of being arrested and ultimately killed. This marked the beginning of series events of murder and the official search for V who had proved to be an enemy to the government.
There is nothing as useless as a government that cannot be trusted by the people. People realise that it would be better for them to be allowed to do whatever they please without any laws rather than be lead by an oppressive leadership. The novel and the film show the fact that V had seen the suffering of such people and decided to paralyse all activities of the government. His aim was to make it toothless and allow people to do what they felt was right (Del 63). The fact that the people were siding with the terrorists rather than the people implies that they had reached a desperate situation where they would rather suffer in the hands of thugs than a government that cared less about them.
From experience, it is agreed that every intended deliverance has to be accompanied by the killing of the messiah. This however happens after he has accomplished a lot in winning the trust of the people and even having a good number of followers. The death of such a messiah is also considered to be a seed that is planted which people will use it to fight on for their freedom. This has been revealed in the novel by the death of V who had fortunately mentored Evey to succeed him in delivering the people (Moore 74). Before his death, he had managed to paralyse most of the operations of the government and even facilitated the freedom of those who had been imprisoned for not following selfish directives of the government.
The novel and the movie end by what may be considered a victory for the people. They are now free from the chains of oppression yet they have a decision to choose whether they will remain free or go back to chains. There is however a difference in which this has been displayed with the novel revealing that Evey succeeded V while Finch the only surviving government official resigns. In the movie, Finch joins up with Evey after the death of V and together they watch the government running into shambles. Freedom is expensive and anybody who understand how much it costs will do all they can to guard it. This signifies that citizens have a chance to choose a new government of their choice once again. From what they have learned, Evey, who appears dressed as V cautions them against electing leaders that will oppress them.

Burj Khalifa (Creative Architecture)
Creative architecture is a creative, innovative and unique approach in architectural designs that result in the construction of artificial structures that distinctively stand out from the usual. These structures include bridges, buildings, and roads among others, and even though they come out as normal structures, architects can twist their designs to separate them from other similar structures. The twist may be in the form of appearance, composition, and method of construction or even the technology that will be used in their construction. Most structures that come to exist as a result of creative architecture more often than not have to incorporate new technology. This main reason for this is that there new ideas may not be done before architects come up with ways in which their designs will be practically implemented. This only means that new technology will have to be invented to support the emergence of new ideas. Sometimes this technology is only used in the construction of one design since it may not really be applicable in other designs due to its sophistication. The creative form of architecture that was used to create the Burj Khalifa building in the United Arab Emirates demonstrates the importance of creativity when practicing architecture and allow for meaningful social value as well.
There are many reasons that call for the need of creative architecture. One is the location that the structure has to be put up or constructed. There may be barriers or certain limitations that hinder the normal construction of a building, for example, physical barriers like mountains and water bodies, vulnerability to earthquakes, unstable weather conditions. Architects have come up with creative designs that will make it possible to construct these structures in such difficult circumstances.
Creative architecture also poses a challenge to the people who actually execute the design. From structural engineers to the quantity surveyors, they all face the challenge of implanting the uniqueness of the architectural designs. Quite often creative architecture presents these professionals with a new idea that they have never worked on before and thus the creativity is also transferred from the architect all the way to the foremen. Thus creativity comes off as an overall necessity (Mallgrave 2).
In particular, I will focus on the Burj Khalifa tower in Dubai. This is the tallest man made structure in the world, standing at a height of 829.8 meters (2722 feet) (burjkhalifa.ae). The resolve to build the Burj Khalifa is supposedly as a result of the government decision to diversify its economy from being oil based to one that is service and tourism based. The Burj Khalifa not only boasts of great height but also an amazing design. It uses the bundled tube design. This is the reason why the building uses half the amount of steel as that used in the construction of the Empire State Building.
According to the structural engineers, cultural and historical elements particular to the region were incorporated in the building’s design. Engineers had to develop a new structural system called the buttressed core to support the unprecedented height of the building. This structural system keeps the building from twisting and also enables it to support itself laterally.
In addition to its amazing structural design, the Burj Khalifa is a magnificent sight to behold. Its beauty has been a great tourist attraction and with the Armani hotel housed inside the building, it is able to accommodate the many tourists. The inside of the building is also an architectural masterpiece. Fitted with amazing interior decor and superb artwork, the Burj Khalifa is more than just a piece of creative architecture, its very nature is a wonder. The Burj Khalifa creates an impression that is expected of any creative architecture. The innovativeness in the construction of the building is exemplified right from setting the foundation up to the laying of last stone (Goldsworthy 1).
Dubai is the fastest growing city in the world. An army of cranes and laborers work around the clock to turn the city into a place that the whole world will look up to, and the centerpiece of the grand plan is the Burj Khalifa. At its height, it provides astounding views over Dubai and the Arabian Gulf. The thrill that comes with climbing to the top is simply breathtaking and there is simply no other view as amazing. The cool wind breeze blows giving a cooling effect like no other. For one who is afraid of heights this is without a doubt a worthwhile risk. At the same time, it is a haven for base jumpers as they look to take a leap of their lives.
Tourists can also take a wander through the fountains and gardens of Burj Khalifa Park. The Dubai Mall, the world’s largest shopping mall, attracts many shoppers. In addition to the huge variety of shops, the mall includes an ice rink, aquarium, cinemas and Sega theme park.
The Armani Hotel reflects the simplicity, elegance and the unique comfort that is the definition of Armani’s signature style. Unique textures, sophisticated colors and clean lines blend together with the tower’s architectural marvel and natural light creating a tranquil and serene atmosphere where guests can retreat into a world of stunning elegance.
In an age that has seen great advancement in technology, we cannot really tell of the next mind blowing design that architecture will bring us but we can be certain that the men and women in architecture will always look to surprise us. With great desire and ambition to surpass previous achievements, the diversity in the architecture industry can only grow at a rate that looks to neither reach an optimum nor slow down. We can only attempt to stretch our imagination as far as we can and let creativity and brilliance brings these ideas to reality.
Architecture has been described as both an art and science of designing and erecting physical structures but the fact that architectural works, in the material form of buildings are often viewed as cultural symbols but most importantly as works of art. Hence, just like in art, there are unlimited possibilities. In the same way that a spill of paint could result in a masterpiece, an architect could develop an idea out of nothing, purely stumbling on it by accident. Thus the source of inspiration to create a one of a kind design cannot be specifically defined (Hall 3).
Creative architecture has brought us many breakthroughs in the construction of phenomenal and mega structures. Passion and the drive to surpass the already high standards in architecture will keep us marveling at the magnificent structures that we will have the privilege of laying our eyes on. Setting the pace for future generations, the willingness to come up with original and one of-a-kind designs will have us see the greatest architectural inventions yet.
It is, therefore, true to say that creative architecture is beyond the sky limit; it is limitless. Creative architecture expands our imagination to lengths we could not perceive and through this beautiful, amazing and awe-inspiring structures come to exist.
The architectural design inside and outside have reference for the Islamic building designs. This is meant to reflect ion the global community in the modern world. Since Muslims believe that people should stay in communities, this building was designed to incorporate this concept.
The whole interior of the building is a mark of serenity and skill. It has finishing of glass, polished dark stones as well as stainless steel. This reflects very fine work and high level of technology. The interior also has Silver Travertine flooring. The walls have a fine finishing of Venetian plaster. There are also rugs which are handmade to reflect nature and art as well as Brazilian Santos Rosewood. These are used to reflect comfort and luxury. The interior of the Tower has also 500 pieces of art work which are positioned at strategic places within the compartments. These pieces are from both local and international artists. This is used to complete the luxurious atmosphere intended by the designers.  The premiere art piece is in the residential compartment and is entitled World Voices. It is composed of 196 cymbals which represent the world’s 196 countries. This shows that the Tower is meant to be a place for everyone in the world regardless of background.
There are setbacks at the end of every wing which form a spiral pattern as one goes up the building. The purpose of this is to decrease the mass of the tower with increase in height. The engineers modeled the setbacks in a wind tunnel so as to reduce wind forces. The building has sky sourced ventilations which control the air temperatures by reducing air density and humidity at the top of the building. There is also a low emissivity glazing which provides the building with thermal insulation against high temperatures in Dubai. The interior design of the building was inspired by the high technological ideas and cultural background of Dubai. The floors in the uppermost compartments of the building reflect celestial influences. The interior floors of the lower compartments reflect inspirations by natural elements.

Sometimes this technology is only used in the construction of one design since it may not really be applicable in other designs due to its sophistication. This essay will discuss the creative form of architecture that was used to create the Burj Khalifa building in the United Arab Emirates in order to appreciate the importance of creativity when practicing architecture.
There are many reasons that call for the need of creative architecture. One is the location that the structure has to be put up or constructed. There may be barriers or certain limitations that hinder the normal construction  of a building ,for example, physical barriers like mountains and water bodies, vulnerability to earthquakes, unstable weather conditions etc.

Thus creativity comes off as an overall necessity.
